Mehdi Maskani said in an interview with journalists: According to the report of the Statistical Center of Iran, the cooperative sector increased by 2.5 percent in terms of the number of registered cooperatives and by 3.5 percent in the number of members working in cooperatives.
He added, “Today, we have 101,000 cooperatives in the country, and there are 1,847,000 job opportunities in these cooperatives.”
Al-Maskani stated that 52% of the formed cooperatives work in the production sector.
Regarding the facilities paid to state cooperatives, the Deputy Minister of Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare said: The facilities are determined in different packages and the size of the facilities depends on the plan.
He continued, saying: In line with the formation of the model for eliminating deprivation centered around the cooperatives that were formed in the ministry, the group of colleagues of the General Department of Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare in Lorestan came to the conclusion.
