Tips for loop coiling

A toroidal coil is a type of motor coil. The motor is part of an electric motor or generator. Motors are used in electric motors and generators. The motor is rolled into round and wavy shapes.

during the training Electric motors and fittings In the School of Electricity and Electronics, all types of windings are taught to apprentices in a practical and special way in the labor market.

In this article, we will examine the points related to the armature winding ring in more detail.

What is the engine?

The motor is part of an electric motor or generator. If the production member is used as part of an electric motor, then an input voltage is applied to it, and if it is used in a power generator, voltage is generated in it. The motor can be the rotor (rotor) or the stator (stator) part of the machine, this depends on the structure of the electrical machine.

In generator mode, the voltage across the armature is directly related to the number of loops in the armature, the magnetic field lines of the magnet, and the motor’s rotational speed. The three main defects of the armatures include short circuit, open armature circuit, and coupling of the armature coil to the body. The rotation of the motor can convert mechanical energy into electrical energy.

The different parts of the engine are as follows:

  • permanent magnet
  • rewind
  • Mosque
  • Axis
  • Compressed carbon block (coal)
  • rebar
  • armchair cushion

rebar winding

The motor coil enters the power supply on one side and exits it on the other. The motor is surrounded by many magnets. When current flows through the output member, the coil inside it becomes a magnet, and with the magnet located around the poles of the same name, it begins to rotate.

The motor is wound in two ways.

  • winding ring
  • wavy wrap

Next we will deal with the toroidal coil.

winding ring

In the toroidal coil, coils laid in a row overlap each other. In this type of headband, the end of the relay is connected to the start of the next coil at the same pole. Indeed, in a commutator coil, the end of one coil and the beginning of the next coil are connected to one part of the commutator, and both coils are placed under an N or S magnetic pole.

The circular coil itself is of two types:

  • Simple loop winding
  • double annular winding

In a simple circular file, the number of parallel paths between the brushes is equal to the number of columns.

In a double toroidal coil, the number of parallel paths between the brushes is twice the number of shafts.

Advantages of using circular windings

There are advantages to using a toroidal coil. The first advantage of using this type of winding is that due to the many parallel paths, this type of winding can be used for high current applications. The second advantage of this coil is that it is suitable for high current and low voltage generators.

Annular coil defects

In addition to its advantages, the toroidal winding also has disadvantages. This type of coil generates less EMF than the corrugated coil and therefore costs more copper. Another disadvantage of the annular coil is that it takes up more space in the groove than the corrugated coil.

Training for winding electric motors and motor wheels

The electric motor winding and motor winding course is one of the subspecialty courses of the School of Electrical and Electronics. This course takes place in a fully equipped workshop under the supervision of fully experienced professors. Trainees will be able to mobilize all types of engines and fittings after this course.

Training in the School of Electricity and Electronics from zero to one hundred and attending the course does not require any prerequisites. At the end of the course, the trainees are given a valid official certificate from the technical and professional body for the trainees, through which they can obtain a license.
