And the late Ayatollah al-Hakim spared no effort to adapt to this thought and thought, and tried to do so by holding Qur’an and exegesis meetings and reviving the history and religious practices of Islam. What is important is that until the last moments of the life of this great authority, lectures and visits by seminarians, academics, academics and social leaders are given inside Iraq and missionaries are sent to the ends of the world, and not by Muslims – by Muslims. This wise scholar suffered the imprisonment and torture of the Iraqi Baath regime and did not stop fighting, and he was always on the path of spreading the pure teachings of Sicily and left behind many scientific and jurisprudential literature.
He is one of the pioneers of jihad against the enemies of Islam. He spared no effort in spreading the word of truth and spreading the pure teachings of Ahl al-Bayt, purity and chastity, and tolerance of imprisonment and torture. The Baath regime in Iraq is a testimony to the martyrdom of this mujahid jurist, and many of his scholarly and jurisprudential works are mentioned and preserved in religious institutes.
He was from a noble family of scholars, jurisprudence, ijtihad, jihad, martyrdom and piety, and was considered a great example of patience and resistance by students of seminaries throughout the Shiite and Islamic world.
In addition to the religious and preaching services to this authority, his scientific and jurisprudential discoveries, especially his outstanding contribution to the revival of the Arbaeen march, and the social and cultural services to the country and the Iraqi nation are among his distinguished personalities.
During Saddam’s era, it was forbidden even to read the Qur’an in prison, but he managed to get a small old Quran, the pages of which were crumbling, and he began to work and start tafsir lessons.
According to his son, Ayatollah Sayyid Riyad Hakim, his interpretation began with Surah Juma. Of course, his translation class was completely secret and was not discovered by the prison guards. I remember him talking about the impact of loading a Shiite on an African dock on those around him, then he turned to the prominent doctors and academics in the academy and said: Today your words and advice have the greatest impact on the spread of culture. Take it from the people of the house, peace be upon them.
